About Me
My Story
Hi! I'm Mary!
My name is Mary Elizabeth Eiberger, and I have taught math, science, and general studies for over 31 years. I'm also a licensed Colorado Teacher and love coming up with creative ways for students to learn.
My philosophy is to “study smarter, not harder!” Therefore, there are invaluable study skills that I want to instill in my students. These skills will help them in their current studies and help them continue to succeed throughout life.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology while attending Colorado College. I received a fellowship to continue to study at Colorado College and earned my Master’s degree in Secondary Science Education.
I am a native of Colorado. However, I started my teaching career in Southern California but returned to teach and tutor middle school and high school students. I have taught biology, algebra, physical science, earth science, anatomy, and physiology and helped write the California curriculum for high school integrated Science I and II (integrated biology, chemistry, and physics thematic science course). In addition, I developed and taught a high school science outdoor education course where I taught students rock climbing, mountaineering, skiing, snowboarding, and survival skills.
I have been tutoring middle school and high school students for over 12 years. I teach study skills, biology, physical science, algebra I and II, geometry, language arts, history, college application, SAT, and ACT prep.
I would be honored to help your student succeed. I have had much success with my students and would be happy to provide several references.
