About Me

My Story

Hi, my name is Mary Elizabeth Eiberger, and I have taught math, science, general studies, and study skills for over 33 years. I'm also a licensed Colorado Teacher and love coming up with creative ways for students to learn.

My philosophy is to “study smarter, not harder!” Therefore, there are invaluable study and executive functioning skills that I want to instill in my students. These skills will help them in their current studies and help them continue to succeed throughout life.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology while attending Colorado College. I received a fellowship to continue to study at Colorado College and earned my Master’s degree in Secondary Science Education.

I am a native of Colorado. However, I started my teaching career in Southern California but returned to Colorado to teach and tutor middle school and high school students. I have taught biology, algebra, physical science, earth science, anatomy, and physiology and helped write the California curriculum for high school integrated Science I and II (integrated biology, chemistry, and physics thematic science course). Further, I was the sole teacher running a middle school math and science program for a private school in California. I can help with most subjects in addition to math and science. I love to write and can help your student develop their writing skills. I am a historian at heart and can also help your student in their history classes. In addition, I developed and taught a high school science outdoor education course where I taught students rock climbing, mountaineering, skiing, snowboarding, and survival skills.

I have been tutoring middle school and high school students for over 15 years. I teach study skills, executive functioning skills, biology, physical science, algebra I and II, geometry, language arts, history, and college applications. Further more, I have worked with special education and special needs students.
